Course Description:

This course provides Direct Care Professionals with the knowledge and practical skills needed to assist individuals with personal care safely, respectfully, and effectively. Topics include person-centered care, infection prevention, safe movement, bathing, skin and oral care, grooming, toileting, adaptive techniques, documentation, communication, and abuse prevention. The course emphasizes dignity, independence, individual choice, and following each person’s care plan.
