Welcome to Part Three of this introductory course on key topics related to the care of people with developmental disabilities and the support systems that surround them.
In this segment, we’ll begin by discussing behavioral support skills. From there, we’ll explore important concepts such as empowering choice, recognizing and addressing learned helplessness and teaching new skills.
Whether you’re a new staff member, a caregiver, or someone looking to better understand the systems that impact individuals with developmental disabilities, this Course will begin to provide a clear and practical foundation.
