Course Description
Trauma-informed care is an approach that recognizes and responds to the impact of trauma on individuals. It emphasizes creating a safe, supportive environment that avoids re-traumatization, promotes healing, and empowers individuals. In this course, staff will learn how to recognize signs of trauma, understand the widespread effects of trauma on behavior and development, and apply strategies that foster trust, respect, and emotional well-being in their interactions with clients. The goal is to equip Direct Care Professionals with the tools to provide compassionate care, reduce the risk of harm, and improve overall client outcomes.
